PURPOSE
To Support the entire shipping value chain from both Agency
and Terminal operations perspectives to ensure full regulatory compliance,
enhance cargo delivery efficiency, drive cost savings, secure spares
availability, facilitate market expansion, and optimize revenue for the overall
benefit of the business.
THE JOB
- Prepare
invoices, debit notes, and both provisional and final terminal bills for the
organization and stakeholders to enhance revenue generation.
- Participate
in operational and vessel voyage meetings with stakeholders to ensure accuracy
and reconciliation of tonnage discharge figures.
- Maintain
up-to-date records of vessel tonnage for management review and government
reporting requirements.
- Reconcile
tonnage figures with industry stakeholders to identify and resolve
discrepancies.
- Collate
and update business unit KPIs and generate periodic performance reports.
- Monitor
vessel schedules and initiate proactive measures to ensure timely berthing and
sailing.
Maintain effective communication with customers, vendors,
and internal departments to ensure all ship deliveries are completed on time.
THE
PERSON MUST
- Have
excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- Have
strong knowledge of shipping operations, port logistics, and maritime
regulations.
- Demonstrate
excellent numerical and analytical skills for preparing invoices, bills, and
tonnage reconciliations.
- Be
detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in record-keeping and reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum
of HND/BSC in Finance or Administration related course.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum
of two years of relevant experience.
