PURPOSE
To ensure inventory control processes are effectively monitored and enforced to minimize wastage, prevent inventory discrepancies, and safeguard company assets through strict adherence to internal control procedures.
THE JOB
- Initiate and monitor the loading process of company products, ensuring accuracy in loading patterns and compliance with approved procedures.
- Detect, prevent, and report any cases of underloading or overloading of company products.
- Verify that invoiced products correspond with gate passes, weighbridge dockets, and other supporting documents before dispatch.
- Maintain accurate registers and records of all product load-outs and inventory movements.
- Monitor the discharge of AGO, Petrol, Gas, and other materials to ensure the correct quantity and quality are received by the company.
- Supervise the loading and evacuation of scrap materials to ensure only authorized items are released.
- Verify locally supplied goods and materials before usage and payment approval.
- Monitor weighbridge operations and ensure compliance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Verify invoiced goods and goods receipts on D365 to ensure accuracy and completeness.
THE PERSON MUST
- Possess strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Demonstrate high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Have good record-keeping and documentation skills.
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
QUALIFICATION
- Minimum of O'Level certificate with five (5) credits including Mathematics and English Language.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of two (2) years' cognate experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, internal control, or related functions.
- Experience in an FMCG or manufacturing environment will be an added advantage
