PURPOSE
To install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and
equipment within the factory, housing estate, and irrigation facilities to
ensure operational efficiency, safety compliance, and minimal downtime through
effective troubleshooting and preventive maintenance activities.
THE JOB
- Report all electrical maintenance activities and
findings to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair
electrical wiring, fixtures, control systems, and equipment.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance
on electrical systems and components to minimize equipment downtime.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety
standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify electrical hazards and recommend
improvements to enhance workplace safety and operational efficiency.
- Assist in the installation, testing, and
commissioning of new electrical systems and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of
electrical maintenance activities and repairs.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and
other departments to support smooth plant operations.
- Provide technical support during emergency power
outages and equipment breakdowns.
- Support training and knowledge sharing for
junior electricians on safety procedures and best maintenance practices.
- Contribute to energy efficiency initiatives and
continuous improvement programs within the plant.
THE
PERSON MUST
- Possess strong troubleshooting and
problem-solving skills.
- Have good knowledge of industrial electrical
systems, PLCs, and automation processes.
- Demonstrate the ability to interpret electrical
schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Be physically fit and capable of working in
factory and outdoor environments.
QUALIFICATION
- 5 O’Level credits, including Mathematics and
English.
- NABTEB / City & Guilds (C&G) Technical
in Electrical or related discipline.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience in
electrical maintenance or industrial operations.
