PURPOSE
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Manager IFRS
and Consolidation to oversee the consolidation and financial reporting
processes for our diversified manufacturing group. The ideal candidate will be
responsible for ensuring timely and accurate preparation of consolidated
financial statements in line with International Financial Reporting Standards
(IFRS), supporting internal and external reporting, and working closely with
independent divisional finance teams.
THE JOB
- Lead
the end-to-end group consolidation process for multiple manufacturing divisions
across different locations.
- Prepare
accurate and timely consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS
and group reporting deadlines.
- Ensure
proper elimination of intercompany transactions, including inventory transfers,
management fees, and intercompany loans.
- Provide
technical guidance and interpretation of complex IFRS standards (e.g., IFRS 10,
15, 16, IAS 2) as they apply to manufacturing operations.
- Review
and ensure the correct application of IFRS accounting treatments for inventory
valuation, revenue recognition, fixed assets, and production-related costs.
- Overall
responsibility for intercompany reconciliations and coordination of balance
sheet reconciliation for the different legal entities.
THE PERSON MUST
- Have
excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have
strong technical knowledge of IFRS, especially IFRS 10 (Consolidated Financial
Statements), IFRS 15 (Revenue), IFRS 16 (Leases), and IAS 2 (Inventories).
- Be
proficient in using consolidation software (e.g., SAP BPC, Oracle Hyperion, or
similar) and advanced Excel skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 10 years of
post-qualification experience, with at least 3 years in a consolidation or IFRS
reporting role.
