ASSISTANT SHIFT MANAGER FLOUR MILLS OF NIGERIA - APAPA
PURPOSE
| To provide oversight for all shift operations and ensure transfer of materials from vessels to storage facility and transfer appropriate wheat type and quantity to the mills . |
THE JOB
- Ensure wheat transfer from silos to the mills to meet production requirement
- Liaise with maintenance team, ABTL etc. to ensure prompt resolution of any operational breakdown.
- Ensure reception of wheat/SBM from vessel/trucks
- Ensure loading of pellet/SBM from silos to vessel
- Guide and mentor the shift team with respect to safety, problem solving and troubleshooting.
- Ensure inventory is stored appropriately to ensure safety and quality standards
- Ensure all operational records and reports are correctly entered and submitted. in the areas of safety,
- Oversees all departmental operations in the night, weekends and public holidays by implementing instructions laid down.
- Perform other project or ad-hoc duties as directed
THE PERSON MUST
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have good interpersonal skills and the ability to relate effectively across all levels.
- Be able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Possess strong organizational and leadership ability.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in production and milling.
