PURPOSE
To lead operational excellence across ARMS coordinating the end-to-end delivery of grains and raw materials from local suppliers to warehouses and silos, and onward to user factories. The role ensures alignment with multiple Business Units (BUs), sets up robust process controls to eliminate gaps in inventory control, logistics execution, and drives cost-effective, reliable operations that meet business needs and stakeholder expectations.
THE JOB
- Design and implement structured operational processes to ensure consistency, traceability, and control across sourcing, warehousing, and dispatch. Improving operational efficiency to reduce cost-to-serve and eliminate process-related losses.
- Establish and monitor SOPs for material movement, documentation, and quality assurance from supplier to end-user. Minimize stock discrepancies, leakages, and write-offs through strong process controls.
- Liaise with BU Heads to align on raw material needs, timelines, and specifications before sourcing is initiated. Enhance warehouse utilization and inventory turnover to support working capital goals.
- Serve as the central coordination point between sourcing teams, warehouse operations, and user factories to ensure seamless delivery. Deliver cost savings through proactive planning and supplier coordination.
- Oversee the aggregation and delivery of grains from local suppliers to designated warehouses and silos.
- Ensure timely and accurate dispatch from storage locations to user factories, maintaining service level agreements and satisfaction metrics.
- Track operational KPIs including delivery accuracy and timelines, cost efficiency, inventory accuracy, and user factory satisfaction.
- Provide regular reports to the General Manager ARMS and Head of Supply Chain on operational performance and improvement plans.
- Build a capable operations team with clear roles and responsibilities across sourcing, warehousing, and coordination.
- Drive accountability and collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.

THE PERSON MUST
- Have proven experience in perishable materials management and farm-to-factory logistics operations.
- Be proficient in ERP systems, with knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 being highly advantageous.
- Have strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with vendors, suppliers, aggregators, and freight forwarders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Agriculture or related field.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in operations, logistics/warehouse or related in FMCG
