PAYROLL CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANT - FLOUR MILLS OF NIGERIA

PURPOSE

To provide customer service support for employees and the payroll team, focusing on addressing payroll complaints, resolutions and feedback to employees and reporting on related inquiries.

THE JOB

  • Answering employee inquiries related to payroll, explaining proceses, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive employee experience.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records, updating information like salary changes, benefits, and tax withholdings
  • Ensuring adherence to relevant labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Collecting and verifying employee timesheets, entering data into the payroll system, calculating wages and deductions.

THE PERSON MUST

  • Have a good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have good interpersonal skills and stakeholder management understanding
  • Possess excellent numerical and analytical skills to ensure accurate calculations of final settlements.
  • Have proficiency in payroll systems, HRIS, and Microsoft Excel (or other data management tools).
  • Be able to work collaboratively with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure smooth off boarding.
  • Show good problem-solving and process improvement skills for identifying inefficiencies and suggesting better approaches.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of OND in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant experience in payroll processing, HR administration, or customer service, preferably in a corporate environment.
