PURPOSE
The Trade Finance Representative provides critical support
to the Trade Finance, Clearing, Procurement, and Treasury teams by ensuring
seamless processing of import and export documentation and resolving
shipment-related inconsistencies. The role focuses on improving operational
efficiency, minimizing delays in documentation processing, and ensuring
compliance with trade finance regulations.
THE JOB
- Assist
in processing trade finance documentation related to import and export
transactions in line with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare
and maintain accurate shipment records and reports, including weekly tracking
of PAAR (Pre-Arrival Assessment Report.
- Work
closely with Procurement and Clearing teams to ensure smooth pre-shipment and
post-shipment activities across the group.
- Monitor
trade-related transactions to ensure timely processing and prevent delays that
may result in demurrage.
- Maintain
proper documentation and filing systems to support audit and regulatory
compliance.
- Track
shipment documentation and follow up with relevant stakeholders to resolve
discrepancies or delays.
- Support
initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and cost visibility
across trade finance processes.
- Provide
regular updates and reports to management on trade documentation status and
shipment activities.

QUALIFICATION
- Minimum
of a National Diploma (ND) in a relevant field.
- Additional
IT or analytical training will be an added advantage
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum
of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency
in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
