PURPOSE
To ensure the efficient and
reliable operation of all installed generators in the facility, maximizing
capacity utilization and minimizing downtime through proactive maintenance and
effective technical support.
THE JOB
- Demonstrate absolute intolerance for unsafe
practices by adhering to all safety, quality, and environmental standards. No
changes whether self‑initiated or instructed should be made without first
evaluating their impact on product quality, personnel safety, and the
environment.
- Service and repair all diesel and gas generators
within the factory.
- Operate all diesel and gas generators to ensure
consistent power supply.
- Manage the operation of main distribution
panels, including power changeovers. Conduct routine maintenance and repair of
generators to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repair of

- Perform maintenance and repairs on auxiliary
equipment critical to generator performance.
- Inspect power plant equipment and monitor
indicators to identify signs of operational issues.
THE
PERSON MUST
- Have good interpersonal and communication
skills.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic
systems, and mechanical components used in industrial and automotive equipment.
- Proven ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain
diesel-powered machines, including engines, pumps, and generators.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals,
service diagrams, and mechanical schematics.
- Strong adherence to safety procedures and good
workshop practices in all repair and maintenance activities.
QUALIFICATION
- Minimum of 5 O’Level credits, including
Mathematics and English.
- NABTEB / City & Guilds (C&G) Technical
Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related discipline.
EXPERIENCE
- 2–3 years' experience in generator operation,
mechanical maintenance, or similar technical roles.
