PURPOSE
To support the efficient operation and basic maintenance of
boiler equipment in FMN or GSC. The role ensures continuous supply of high‑quality
steam to production while working closely with the Boiler Supervisor, Utilities
team, and Production units.
THE JOB
- Assist
in the safe and reliable operation of all boilers and associated equipment in
line with OEM standards and company procedures.
- Perform
routine checks on boilers—monitor pressure, temperature, fuel levels, and water
chemistry as guided by the Boiler Supervisor.
- Support
preventive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activities for assigned
boilers.
- Work
with the Utilities team to maintain optimal thermal efficiency (fuel-to-steam
ratio, condensate return, water treatment compliance). Report faults,
irregularities, or potential downtime risks promptly to the Boiler Supervisor.
- Adhere
to safety rules, housekeeping standards, and established SOPs always.
- Collaborate
with other technicians and plant operators to ensure smooth utilities support
for production demands.
THE
PERSON MUST
- Have
good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Have
hands-on experience with preventive and corrective maintenance of industrial
boilers and auxiliary systems.
- Have
sound knowledge of boiler operations, maintenance, and safety protocols.
- Be
safety-conscious and committed to upholding health and safety regulations in
all operations.
QUALIFICATION
- 5 O’Level credits, including Mathematics and
English.
- NABTEB
/ City & Guilds (C&G) Technical in Electrical or related discipline.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum
of 2 years’ experience in boiler operation, utilities, or industrial
maintenance.
