PURPOSE
To carry out routine and corrective mechanical maintenance
on factory equipment in line with instructions and specifications, ensuring
reliable operations and minimal downtime across the production facility.
THE JOB
- Repair
faulty or damaged components of production, packaging, warehouse, and raw
material silo equipment.
- Minimize
machine downtime through timely response to maintenance issues.
- Carry
out all maintenance activities strictly in line with approved checklists and
machine drawings.
- Report
all malfunctions, defects, or damaged items promptly to the supervising
officer.
- Maintain
accurate records of job completion time, spare parts replaced, and observations
for future planning.
- Conduct
why‑why analysis on recurring equipment problems and troubleshoot issues to
support effective maintenance.
- Actively
participate in achieving assigned KPIs and departmental objectives.
THE
PERSON MUST
- Have
good oral and written communication skills.
- Possess
good practical knowledge of mechanical maintenance in an industrial
environment.
- Be
safety‑conscious and disciplined in following maintenance procedures and
instructions.
- Have
strong attention to detail and ability to work with machine drawings and
checklists.
- Be
able to troubleshoot mechanical faults and support continuous improvement.
- Be
reliable, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a maintenance
team.
- Demonstrate
good record‑keeping and reporting skills.
QUALIFICATION
- 5
O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English.
- NABTEB
/ City & Guilds (C&G) Technical in Electrical or related discipline.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum
of two years’ relevant experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or
industrial environment.
