PURPOSE
To Supervise
and coordinate logistics operations, ensuring the efficient transportation,
warehousing, and distribution of goods while optimizing costs and maintaining
compliance with regulatory and company policies.
THE JOB
- Supervise
and coordinate daily logistics operations, including transportation,
warehousing, and distribution.
- Ensure
timely and cost-effective delivery of goods to customers and internal
stakeholders.
- Monitor
and track shipments, resolving any delays or issues promptly.
- Oversee
the scheduling and dispatching of trucks for optimal efficiency.
- Maintain
accurate records of shipments, inventory, and logistics expenses.
- Ensure
compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Collaborate
with transporters, suppliers, and internal teams to enhance logistics
processes.
- Conduct
periodic audits to ensure adherence to logistics and inventory management
policies.
THE
PERSON MUST HAVE
- exposure in logistics operations, including
transportation, warehousing, or distribution.
- Basic knowledge of shipment tracking, inventory
management, and record-keeping.
- Ability to monitor daily operations and help
resolve minor delays or issues.
- Good organizational and time management skills
to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to learn, follow processes, and
adhere to company policies and safety standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to
coordinate with colleagues, suppliers, and transporters.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strictly Diploma/OND holders in Supply Chain or
in a related field.
EXPERIENCE
- 2 years of experience in logistics, supply
chain, or transportation management preferably in a food manufacturing or FMCG
environment.
