PURPOSE
The Electrical Technician is responsible for ensuring the
reliable and safe operation of all electrical systems and equipment across
milling and packaging operations. The role involves executing preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis and
corrective repairs of to minimize downtime and support continuous production,
while complying with food safety, electrical and plant safety standards.
THE JOB
- Collaborate
with production teams to support machine shutdowns, start-ups and modification
for process improvement.
- Carry
out planned preventive maintenance tasks on all electrical equipment, machinery
and systems used in flour packing and packaging operations.
- Carry
our minor electrical installations and corrective maintenance works.
- Diagnose
and repair faults on motors, MCC panels, control circuits, sensors, conveyors,
VFDs and associated electrical systems
- Support
electrical maintenance of packing and packaging equipment including baggers,
weighers, sealers, palletizers and conveyors
- Participate
in equipment installation, commissioning and calibration activities as required.
- Respond
promptly to breakdowns and troubleshoot electrical faults to minimize
production downtime.
- Adhere
strictly to all electrical safety protocols and plant safety standards.
- Maintain
accurate maintenance logs, spare parts usage and work orders records.
THE
PERSON MUST
- Have
good knowledge of electrical machine, devices, drawings and controls.
- Possess
excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Have
effective verbal and written communication skills.
QUALIFICATION
- 5
O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English.
- NABTEB
/ City & Guilds (C&G) Technical in Electrical or related discipline.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum
of 2 years’ experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or
related industrial environment.
