PURPOSE
To support efficient store operations through proper receipt, storage, documentation, and issuance of stock in line with standard procedures and inventory control systems.
THE JOB
- Receive, inspect, and verify stock items against quality and quantity stated on delivery/freight documents.
- Issue stock based on approved requisitions while ensuring compliance with standard procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all stock movements (inbound and outbound).
- Enter and retrieve inventory data using a computerized inventory management system.
- Organize and arrange stock items systematically for easy identification and retrieval.
- Monitor stock levels and track material usage to ensure timely replenishment.
- Notify relevant personnel when reorder levels are reached.
- Participate in periodic stock counts and inventory audits.
- Maintain up-to-date catalogs of available stock items in line with prescribed systems.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of materials to prevent damage or loss.
- Identify and segregate obsolete or redundant stock for proper disposal in compliance with regulations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized store environment in line with HSE policies.
THE PERSON MUST
- Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Possess good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Have basic computer skills for inventory management systems.
QUALIFICATION
- 5 O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English.
- NABTEB / City & Guilds (C&G) Technical or related discipline.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of one (2) years experience in a similar storekeeping or inventory role.
