PURPOSE
To ensure efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures within the factory and office environments, while maintaining safety, quality, and operational standards.
THE JOB
- Install, test, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures.
- Participate in the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment and machinery.
- Carry out routine preventive maintenance on all electrical systems across the factory and offices.
- Inspect electrical systems, components, and equipment to identify hazards, defects, and required repairs.
- Diagnose electrical faults, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure control panels and circuit systems are properly rated and safe for operation.
- Identify potential electrical hazards and recommend necessary corrective measures.
- Monitor and confirm meter readings where applicable.
- Provide support during electrical or utility emergencies within the facility.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and prepare reports for the Electrical Supervisor.
THE PERSON MUST
- Have strong technical and troubleshooting skills in electrical systems.
- Be detail-oriented with high accuracy and safety consciousness.
- Possess good knowledge of electrical codes and safety practices.
- Have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Be diligent, reliable, and proactive.
QUALIFICATION
- 5 O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English.
- NABTEB / City & Guilds (C&G) Technical in Electrical or related discipline.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
