PURPOSE
To carry out cost-effective and efficient fabrication of
machine parts, as well as servicing and maintenance of machines within the
workshop to support continuous milling operations.
THE JOB
- Fabricate machine parts for flour production
operations.
- Repair and service machine tools to ensure
uninterrupted operations.
- Operate, set up, and adjust machine tools for
precision machining tasks.
- Measure, test, and inspect completed work using
precision instruments (e.g., micrometers) to ensure compliance with
specifications.
- Align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and
materials on machines.
- Dismantle machines and equipment to inspect and
replace defective components.
- Establish procedures for fabricating new metal
structures using various machines.
- Operate and maintain industrial equipment,
ensuring optimal performance.
- Ensure all fabrication activities are conducted
safely and hygienically.
- Maintain cleanliness of machines and the
workshop.
- Provide daily reports on workshop machining
activities.
- Support production demands by ensuring timely
completion of tasks.
THE
PERSON MUST
- Have strong technical skills in machining and
fabrication.
- Be detail-oriented with a high level of
precision in work output.
- Demonstrate good problem-solving and
troubleshooting skills.
- Be able to work under pressure and meet tight
production deadlines.
- Have a strong commitment to safety, quality, and
hygiene standards.
QUALIFICATION
- 5 O’Level credits, including Mathematics and
English.
- NABTEB / City & Guilds (C&G) Technical
in Mechanical or related discipline.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years relevant (cognate) experience
in machining or fabrication.
