PURPOSE
To supervise day-to-day spare parts store operations,
ensuring efficient receiving, storage, issuance, and documentation of
inventory. The role ensures high standards of inventory accuracy, compliance
with FMN procedures (SOPs, 5S, GMP, and HSE), and effective system transactions
to support operational efficiency and audit readiness.
THE JOB
- Supervise the receipt, binning, labeling,
storage, and issuance of engineering spares and consumables in line with FMN
standards and SOPs.
- Coordinate storekeeper activities by assigning
tasks, verifying entries, providing on-the-job training, and enforcing
discipline in documentation and procedures.
- Ensure full traceability of inventory movements
and prevent unauthorized withdrawals.
- Oversee the receiving process by verifying
quantities, specifications, and condition of spare parts against supporting
documentation.
- Prepare and maintain accurate daily, weekly, and
monthly operational reports.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping
to support audit readiness.
- Monitor stock levels and escalate replenishment
needs for critical and fast-moving items.
THE

- Demonstrate strong supervisory and team
coordination skills.
- Possess sound knowledge of inventory control
practices and store operations.
- Exhibit attention to detail and a high level of
accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Show strong organizational and problem-solving
capabilities.
QUALIFICATION
- Minimum: OND in Supply Chain, Mechanical/Electrical
Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Certification in inventory management (e.g.,
CIPS, CIPSMN, or equivalent).
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in technical
stores or engineering inventory management within a manufacturing or process
environment.
- Prior experience supervising store personnel or
leading inventory accuracy improvements will be an added advantage.
