PURPOSE
To carry out mechanical repairs, fabrication, installation,
and maintenance of plant equipment to ensure continuous operations, equipment
reliability, and compliance with safety, quality, and food safety standards.
THE JOB
- Repair and service machines in the mills and
head house to ensure continuous plant operations.
- Fabricate machine parts and components required
for maintenance and repair activities.
- Clean and maintain machines to support hygiene,
quality, and food safety requirements.
- Carry out the erection, installation,
troubleshooting, and commissioning of machines and equipment.
- Develop and execute maintenance schedules to
ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Conduct diagnostic tests on malfunctioning
equipment to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Replace damaged, worn, or defective structural
and mechanical components as required.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance
activities in line with maintenance plans and operational requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all workplace safety
regulations and company procedures.
- Report all Quality and Food Safety concerns to
the Food Safety Team
THE
PERSON MUST
- Possess sound mechanical fitting and welding
skills.
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and
fault-diagnosis capabilities.
- Be able to read and interpret technical drawings
and maintenance instructions.
- Have good fabrication and equipment installation
skills.
QUALIFICATION
- 5 O-Level credits, including Mathematics and English/
NABTEB, or Trade Test Grade I to III in Technical, Welding, Fabrication, or a
related technical discipline.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of two years cognate experience in
mechanical maintenance, welding, fabrication, or industrial equipment repairs.
