PURPOSE
To carry out maintenance of machinery and fabrication of
parts, as well as operate Bobcat equipment to support smooth and continuous
operations within the flour production and depot environment.
THE JOB
- Operate Bobcat equipment safely and efficiently
to support site operations and material handling activities.
- Carry out breakdown repairs on mechanical
equipment to minimize operational downtime.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery within
the silo, production, and seaside operational areas.
- Test run and inspect conveyor belts, elevators,
and related systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Fabricate and repair machine parts to support
maintenance and operational continuity.
- Communicate equipment faults and potential
mechanical issues to the Site Engineer promptly.
- Implement preventive maintenance measures to
reduce machine breakdowns and downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of machine service
history and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety,
Environmental (HSE), and food safety requirements during all operations.
- Support housekeeping, hygiene, and safe working
practices within the operational environment.
THE
PERSON MUST
- Be skilled in mechanical maintenance and basic
fabrication techniques.
- Be competent in operating Bobcat or similar
heavy-duty equipment.
- Demonstrate strong awareness of workplace safety
and operational hazards.
- Be able to perform troubleshooting and basic
repair of industrial machinery.
QUALIFICATION
- Minimum of SSCE, 5 O’Level credits, including
Mathematics and English, NABTEB, or Trade Test I to III in Mechanical
Engineering or a related discipline.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of two years cognate experience in
mechanical maintenance or equipment operation
