PURPOSE
To provide safe, reliable, and efficient electrical support
by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems
and equipment, ensuring maximum fleet workshop productivity and minimal
equipment downtime.
THE JOB
- Perform
preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, equipment, and
workshop facilities.
- Diagnose
electrical faults using appropriate testing and diagnostic tools.
- Repair
or replace faulty wiring, electrical components, control systems, and
equipment.
- Respond
promptly to electrical breakdowns to minimize operational downtime.
- Investigate
and resolve power failures, short circuits, and electrical malfunctions.
- Test
and inspect electrical installations and repairs to ensure safe and efficient
operation.
- Install
and maintain electrical systems in accordance with approved specifications and
standards.
- Maintain
accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure
compliance with electrical safety regulations, company policies, and industry
best practices.
- Collaborate
with workshop personnel and other maintenance teams to support efficient fleet
operations.
THE
PERSON MUST
- Possess
strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment maintenance, and fault
diagnosis.
- Demonstrate
the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical faults efficiently and
safely.
- Be
able to read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical manuals, and
specifications.
- Have
a strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATION
- Minimum
of five (5) O'Level credits including English Language and Mathematics in not
more than two sittings.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum
of 2 years' experience in electrical maintenance, repairs, or industrial/fleet
workshop operations.
- Experience
working with electrical systems in automotive, transport, manufacturing, or
industrial environments will be an added advantage.
