PURPOSE
To oversee and coordinate warehouse operations by ensuring
accurate inventory control, efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods
quality load to meet customer service standards, achieve target volumes within
deadlines and maintain accurate documentation, while maintaining safety,
quality, and compliance with organizational and FSMS requirements.
THE JOB
- Supervise
daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, packing, and dispatch
of goods while ensuring accurate inventory management through regular stock
updates, bin card maintenance, and periodic stock counts
- Verify
incoming and outgoing goods against relevant documents to ensure accuracy and
completeness, and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO) and systematic
storage of goods
- Monitor
and coordinate warehouse staff to ensure
tasks are performed efficiently and in line with established procedures, while
enforcing safety practices to protect staff well-being and prevent workplace
incidents
- Identify
food safety risks in the assigned work area, ensure effective control measures
are implemented, and maintain compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing
Practices), hygiene, and food safety requirements within warehouse operations
- Monitor
inventory levels and promptly report shortages, damages, or discrepancies,
ensure timely order fulfilment and effective coordination with relevant
departments, including production and logistics.
THE
PERSON MUST
- Demonstrate strong supervisory and team
coordination skills.
- Possess
sound knowledge of inventory control practices and store operations.
- Exhibit
attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in documentation and
reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS
- OND
in Supply Chain, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Logistics, Business
Administration, or a related discipline.
- Certification
in inventory management (e.g., CIPS, CIPSMN, or equivalent).
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum
of two years cognate experience in mechanical maintenance or industrial
operations.
