PURPOSE
The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Supervisor will
support the implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety, and
environmental standards across the facility. The role is responsible for
promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with regulatory and
company requirements, and preventing workplace accidents and injuries.
THE JOB
- Conduct routine inspections to identify hazards,
unsafe acts, and unsafe working conditions.
- Promote safety awareness through training,
education, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Manage first aid facilities and ensure prompt
response to workplace injuries and incidents.
- Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and
near misses, while driving corrective actions.
- Support the development, review, and
implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in safety audits, safety
observations, and workplace risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and
documentation.
- Drive compliance with HSE regulations, corporate
safety policies, FSSC requirements, HACCP, EIA, and OSHA standards.
THE
PERSON MUST
- Have a strong understanding of workplace health,
safety, and environmental management principles.
- Demonstrate excellent hazard identification and
risk assessment skills.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal
skills with the ability to influence safe behaviors.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 O’ level Credits including English &
Mathematics in not more than two sittings.
- OND qualification in a related field. in
Environmental Sciences, Engineering or a related discipline.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of two (2) years' cognate experience in
Health, Safety & Environment management.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment is
highly preferred.
