PURPOSE
The Electrical Technician will support operational
efficiency and business objectives by carrying out preventive and corrective
maintenance activities, including the installation, testing, maintenance, and
repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures within the factory and
office facilities.
THE JOB
- Participate in the installation and
commissioning of electrical equipment and machinery within the factory and
office environment.
- Carry out routine preventive maintenance on
electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures.
- Inspect electrical systems, components, and
equipment to identify hazards, defects, and maintenance requirements.
- Diagnose electrical faults, determine root
causes of breakdowns, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Maintain and repair electrical systems to ensure
optimal equipment performance and reliability.
- Identify electrical equipment or installations
that may pose safety risks and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
THE
PERSON MUST
- Possess strong electrical troubleshooting and
fault-diagnosis skills.
- Have a sound understanding of industrial
electrical systems, control panels, and electrical installations.
- Demonstrate knowledge of electrical safety
standards and maintenance best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 O-Level credits, including Mathematics and
English/ NABTEB, or Trade Test Grade.
- NABTEB / City & Guilds (C&G) in a
related discipline.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of two (2) years' relevant experience in
electrical maintenance and repairs.
- Experience working with automated production
lines will be an added advantage.
