PURPOSE
The Hygiene Manager will lead and drive hygiene excellence
across the flour milling operation by developing, implementing, and monitoring
effective sanitation and pest management programs. The role will ensure
compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards while
safeguarding product integrity, consumer health, and operational efficiency.
THE JOB
- Develop, implement, and monitor site-wide
hygiene and housekeeping programs in line with food safety standards.
- Manage and continuously improve the Integrated
Pest Management (IPM) and fumigation programmes across the site.
- Oversee product returns management, ensuring
proper documentation, segregation, disposal, and implementation of preventive
actions.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory,
regulatory, quality, and food safety requirements through audits and corrective
action implementation.
- Drive a strong hygiene culture through employee
awareness, training, coaching, and performance monitoring.
THE
PERSON MUST
- Possess
strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene management systems.
- Demonstrate practical experience in Integrated
Pest Management (IPM) and sanitation operations.
- Have excellent leadership, supervisory, and
stakeholder management skills.
- Be highly analytical with strong problem-solving
and root cause analysis capabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- HND/B.Sc. in Food Science or a related
discipline.
- Professional hygiene certification will be an
added advantage.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in an
FMCG manufacturing environment.
- Certifications in Quality Management, Food
