BOILER TECHNICIAN FMN HOLDINGS – TECHNICAL, APAPA

PURPOSE

To operate efficiently and maintain NEFM Boiler equipment while liaising with Boiler Supervisor,

Sectional Managers and operations to always deliver high-quality steam.

THE JOB

  • To ensure in collaboration with Utilities team that all Boilers in FMN or GSC, and associated equipment are operated reliably per OEM standards and best practices in the industry.
  • In collaboration with the utilities management team, to carry out overall preventative; corrective; shutdown/repair maintenance for all the boilers as assigned in line with set OEM standards and SOP.
  • Liaise with other boiler utilities technicians and site/plant operations to always deliver thermal efficiencies (fuel/steam; fuel/finished product; condensate utilization, right boiler water chemistry) and any other utilities improvement initiative in line with production demands while proactively mitigating downtimes as much as possible.
  • Consistently upskill oneself to confront boiler operational realities with a view to position oneself for next challenges.

THE PERSON MUST

  •  Have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality standards.
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to follow established procedures and quality control processes.
  • Be able to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 O-Level credits, including Mathematics and English/ NABTEB, or Trade Test Grade.
  • NABTEB / City & Guilds (C&G) in a related discipline.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of two (2) years' relevant experience in boiler installation and commissioning, boiler maintenance and repairs.
