PURPOSE
To ensure that electrical systems/components of forklifts
and other mobile equipment are in good
working condition for their smooth running.
THE JOB
- To
carry out electrical maintenance (routine, planned and preventive) and repairs
on all forklifts.
- Carry
out daily routine checks on all operational forklifts.
- To
ensure forklift batteries are in good condition.
- To
troubleshoot and rectify electric faults.
- To
ensure all electrical safety units are always in good working condition on all
forklifts.
- Carry
out regular electrical inspections in line with best maintenance practices.
- Promote
autonomous maintenance through consistent electrical checks.
- Maintain
accurate documentation and generate service reports.
THE
PERSON MUST
- Have
strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in heavy equipment electrical
systems.
- Be
detail-oriented with strong reporting and documentation skills.
- Demonstrate
ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage heavy workloads.
- Possess
good knowledge of safety practices in electrical maintenance.
- Be
proactive and capable of working with minimal supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5
O-Level credits, including Mathematics and English/ NABTEB, or Trade Test
Grade.
- NABTEB
/ City & Guilds (C&G) in a related discipline.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum
of two (2) years' relevant experience in a similar role.
