PURPOSE

To drive operational excellence within the plant/mills by ensuring equipment and machines are optimally utilized while improving quality, safety and the bottom line.

THE JOB

• Drive implementation of Continuous Process Improvement activities using Lean Six Sigma tools.
• Collect and Analyse performance metrics data
• Lead Root Cause Analysis within Plant/Mill.
• Transfer OpEx competencies to Mill leadership and team members
• Ensure Process Improvement activities are sustained, and standards adhered to
• Drive Daily Operational Reviews With the support of the Mill leadership team
• Facilitate Weekly Technical Performance Review for East & West Mills
• Facilitate Weekly Technical Performance Review for Headhouse
• Audit shop floor on 5S

THE PERSON MUST

• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent Organizational and multi-tasking skills with solid attention to detail.
• Have solid knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodology and tools.
• Reduce equipment downtime and operational disruptions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• B.Sc. in Science related course or Engineering.
• Certification in Six Sigma Black Belt or Organizational Excellence.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 3 years cognate experience.
