BOILER OPERATOR - PREMIER FEEDS LIMITED, IBADAN
PURPOSE
To operate, monitor, and maintain boiler systems and associated equipment to ensure the continuous supply of quality steam and water for production processes while maintaining safety, efficiency, and compliance with operational standards
THE JOB
Operating and monitoring boiler systems to ensure efficient and uninterrupted steam generation.
Performing routine and preventive maintenance activities, including greasing and oiling of boiler equipment.
Conducting water treatment activities such as water conductivity analysis and boiler chemical preparation.
Removing ash and soot from boiler systems to maintain optimal performance.
Monitoring steam pressure, steam quality, and water availability to support production requirements.
Troubleshooting boiler faults and associated equipment to minimize downtime.
Carrying out regular inspections of boiler accessories and reporting abnormalities promptly.
Maintaining accurate records of boiler operations, maintenance activities, and water treatment results.
Ensuring compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental standards during boiler operations.
Collaborating with the Production and Technical teams to achieve operational and production targets.
THE PERSON MUST
Possess good knowledge of boiler operations and steam generation systems.
Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Have a good understanding of water treatment processes and boiler maintenance practices.
QUALIFICATION
OND in a Science-related discipline.
Possess mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate industrial equipment safely.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of two (2) years' cognate experience in boiler operations or a similar industrial utility role.
