MILLS MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR (MECHANICAL) - GOLDEN PENNY FOODS, B2B, APAPA
PURPOSE
To effectively supervise, coordinate, and implement all Mechanical maintenance activities on milling assets to ensure optimal reliability, availability, and operational efficiency, while optimizing resource utilization and supporting productivity targets in line with divisional budgets
THE JOB
Enforce and drive strict compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) policies, statutory mechanical installation codes, and company standards
Supervise and coordinate mechanical maintenance activities on all milling assets to ensure smooth and uninterrupted system operations
Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Five-Step Methodology for workplace (5S) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Monitor and track spare parts usage, tools handling, and maintenance workmanship to minimize waste and rework
Prepare and submit maintenance performance reports covering breakdown trends, downtime analysis, preventive maintenance compliance, spare parts consumption
Plan, allocate, and schedule maintenance tasks effectively among Mechanical technicians
Ensure hygienic and contamination-free work environments within the milling environment
THE PERSON MUST
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Possess strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrate knowledge of installation procedures for equipment & machine parts
Have strong knowledge of industry health and safety procedures
QUALIFICATION
OND/NABTEB in Mechanical Engineering.
5 O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English.
Knowledge of Milling Technology is an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of two (2) years' cognate experience preferably in the FMCG industry.
