ACCOUNTANT GOLDEN PENNY FOODS - AGRI PALM LIMITED, BENIN

PURPOSE

To oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, inventory management, fixed asset accounting, cash flow management, and business support activities, while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and providing accurate financial information to support effective decision-making across Agri Palm Limited.

THE JOB

  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts to support business planning and performance management.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support management decision-making.
  • Perform regular account reconciliations, including general ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations, and promptly resolve identified variances.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and schedules, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow activities to support operational and strategic objectives.
  • Process payroll accurately and ensure timely payment of salaries and related obligations.
  • Process vendor payments and maintain strong controls over accounts payable activities.
  • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

THE PERSON MUST

  • Possess strong financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis skills.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Have a strong understanding of inventory management and fixed asset accounting.
  • Have experience using ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar platforms.

QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) is required.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting, Audit, Financial Analysis, or a related finance role.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, inventory accounting, and fixed asset management is desirable.
