PURPOSE ​

To provide operational support in implementing and promoting health, safety, and environmental programs across the site, ensuring compliance with FMN HSE standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices while fostering a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.

THE JOB​

• Support the implementation of health, safety, and environmental initiatives across the site.
• Conduct routine HSE inspections to identify hazards, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and fire risks, escalating identified issues for corrective action.
• Assist in monitoring the readiness and functionality of fire protection equipment, safety tools, and environmental compliance equipment.
• Support waste segregation, handling, and disposal activities in line with environmental and sustainability requirements.
• Monitor and promote the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and report non-compliance.
• Assist in coordinating pest control activities, maintaining records, and following up with service providers.
• Educate and remind employees on safe work practices, housekeeping standards, and compliance with site rules.

THE PERSON MUST ​

• Demonstrate a strong passion for workplace safety, health, and environmental management.
• Have good observation skills and the ability to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be confident in engaging employees and promoting safe work behaviors.

QUALIFICATION

• 5 O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English.
• Basic training in Occupational Health and Safety, Fire Safety, First Aid, or related HSE programs will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE​

• Minimum of two (2) year relevant experience.
• Experience in Health, Safety and Environment, manufacturing operations, construction, or industrial environments will be an added advantage.
