HSE SUPERVISOR - FIRE​ - B2C- PREMIUM EDIBLE OIL PRODUCTS LIMITED, IBADAN​

PURPOSE 

To ensure that all health and safety requirements for fire prevention, protection, and operations are carried out when required. To implement Engineering, Education, and Enforcement measures in Fire Prevention and Protection. To identify hazards, assess risks, and implement control measures to prevent accident occurrences in the workplace. 

THE JOB  

Supervises the enforcement and compliance of all safety rules and regulations, safe work practices (strict work permit system implementation for all non-routine works) 

Ensures the correct functionality of critical to safety equipment at strategic locations –LNG, Solvent Extraction Plants, B2C, Refinery. 

Ensures the integrity of all fire infrastructure (suppression and detection) on site. 

Regular checks on the functionality of the fire truck and escalation for repairs or maintenance when necessary. 

Ensuring timely and safe evacuation of personnel during an emergency in coordination with the site emergency responder team leader. 

Daily checks of the underground storage water level and fire hydrant pumps to ensure they are emergency-ready. 

Fight fire within the factory premises and at all other company-owned property. 

THE PERSON MUST HAVE  

Have an excellent verbal and written communication skill. 

Good knowledge of process safety management 

Have integrity and be a good team player 

Be organised and able to manage materials efficiently 

Have a strong sense of responsibility and accountability 

Possess good communication and teamwork skills 

QUALIFICATIONS  

OND in any physical or pure Science or related discipline 

EXPERIENCE  

Minimum of two (2) years' cognate experience preferably in a manufacturing, production or FMCG environment 

Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Safety Professionals
