PURPOSE 

To ensure that all routine maintenance/planned preventive maintenance jobs on machines are carried out strictly and timely 

THE JOB  

Maintain smooth running of all valves, pressure gauges, electric motors and pumps. 

Carry out routine lubrication plan of all pumps, gear boxes, coupling etc. 

Report daily activities to the line manager and shift coordinator to achieve smooth running of all machines and equipment. 

Adhere strictly to safe work procedures during repairs and maintenance activities. 

Carry out daily, periodic checks on all pumps, bolts and nuts to avoid misalignment of moving parts. 

Attend to any unusual condition of all moving parts such as conveyors to solve the problem on time before degenerating. 

Ensure the safety of self and others in the line of work 

Perform any other duties as assigned by Management 

Ensure compliance with FSMS requirements in the assigned work process 

Understand the company’s food safety policy, its objective, and the benefits of an  improved food safety management system. 

Be aware of identified food safety risks, opportunities, and consequences inherent in the departmental/work processes concerning FSMS requirements

Possess good communication and teamwork skills 

Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment 

QUALIFICATIONS  

Trade Test 1, 2 and 3 

EXPERIENCE  

Minimum of three (3) years' cognate experience in mechanical maintenance preferably in a manufacturing, production or FMCG environment
