PURPOSE
To lead and optimize end-to-end milling operations at the
site (1000TPD), ensuring high-volume
production efficiency, cost control, and compliance with
environmental, safety, and quality standards
in a humid, coastal, high-corrosion environment.
THE JOB
- Manage
full-scale operations of a high-capacity single plant
- Drive
throughput optimization and minimize downtime
- Ensure
alignment with corporate production and cost targets
- Implement
robust preventive and predictive maintenance systems
- Address
corrosion risks due to coastal humidity
- Ensure
availability of critical spare parts despite supply chain delays
- Ensure
strict compliance with HSE regulations
- Manage
dust, heat, and high humidity conditions impacting machinery and product
quality
- Drive
zero harm culture (0 fatalities, 0 LTI)
- Manage
challenges of raw material sourcing and logistics into Calabar
- Ensure
uninterrupted production despite port and transport variability
- Build
strong leadership bench within a large centralized team
- Drive
capability in automation, engineering, and plant optimization
- Champion
lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Track
OEE, cost/ton, and efficiency metrics

QUALIFICATION
- HND/B.Sc.
In Milling Operations, Agricultural Engineering or any other related discipline
- MBA
in Operations Management is an added advantage
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum
of twelve (12) years' cognate experience
- Membership
in Feed Industry Practitioners Association (FIPAN), Certified Six Sigma Green
Belt is a requirement
