PURPOSE
To provide IT support across a broad range of technologies
and collaborate with various business units to resolve incidents, service
requests, and technical issues promptly. The role is responsible for ensuring
the smooth operation of desktop systems, peripherals, and end-user technology
services while minimizing business disruption and maintaining high service
standards.
THE JOB
- Providing
timely resolution of IT incidents and minimizing downtime affecting end-user
services.
- Installing,
configuring, and supporting desktop computers, laptops, telephony systems,
wireless networks, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and other peripherals.
- Diagnosing,
troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Performing
desktop support activities, including desk-side technical assistance where
required.
- Maintaining
desktop infrastructure through routine maintenance, upgrades, patches,
releases, and hot-fixes.
- Monitoring
endpoint security compliance, including operating system updates, antivirus
definitions, and other approved compliance standards.
- Documenting,
logging, tracking, and escalating incidents in line with established support
procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or equivalent
qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer
Engineering, or a related discipline.
EXPERIENCE
- At least one (1) year of relevant desktop
support or IT support experience in a medium-sized organization.
