PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Carry out routine operation, maintenance and checks of electrical equipment and its auxiliaries.

THE JOB

• Repair/service electrical equipment/ components of mill machines to ensure minimum downtime
• Carry out machine inspection tasks and submit report to supervisor to ensure efficient effectiveness of production
• Carry out wiring of electrical panels based on specification to avoid fire outbreak
• Monitor logbook to check on repairs done as well as pending jobs, to follow up and ensure prompt resolution
• Record and monitor electrical device readings for review and evaluation
• Carry out any job allocated to ensure quick response to maintenance requests from the carry out user department.
• Carry out root cause analysis on repeated problems and troubleshoot problems to aid effective maintenance.
• Follow up on all preventive measures targeted at Total Preventive Maintenance.
• Reduce interruptions in electrical systems by ensuring rapid repairs and reliable backup to maintain continuous operation.

THE PERSON MUST

• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Possess proven knowledge of how to work with electrical systems and use various hand tools.
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Be able to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Pay attention to details.

QUALIFICATION

• 5 O’ level credits including Mathematics & English in not more than 2 sittings/NABTEB/ Trade test.

EXPERIENCE

• 2 years in related industry.
• Professional knowledge of safety and electrical protocol.
