PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Knowledge of raw materials, production
processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective
manufacture of fish feeds in pellet forms.
THE JOB
- Maintain production records and ensure
extruder operators are completing records accurately.
- Perform daily inspection,
reconciliation and/or audit of finished products before they are shipped.
- Recommend measures to improve
production methods, equipment performance and quality of products.
- Complete shift activity reports and
submit to Production Manager daily.
- Maintain housekeeping at high level in
Extrusion area, through the involvement of all extruder operators.
- Initiate, recommend, investigate,
troubleshoot and provide solutions and actions.
- Prevent the occurrence of any
nonconformities relating to products, processes and quality systems.
- Review production schedules, work
orders, and other records/reports.
- Evaluate current production workload.
THE PERSON MUST
- Possess excellent written and verbal
communication skills.
- Ability to investigate and identify
root causes behind nonconformities and machinery breakdowns.
- Audio/visual skills in presentation of
information and training material are essential.
- Be proficient with Microsoft office
suite or related software.
- Be
able to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
QUALIFICATION
- 5 O’ level credits including
Mathematics & English in not more than 2 sittings/NABTEB/ Trade test.
- OND in Sciences or Engineering.
EXPERIENCE
- 2 years’ cognate experience in a
supervisory role within the manufacturing environment.
