PURPOSE
To carry out installation and maintenance services of electrical systems and repair of machinery to enhance the performance of milling equipment.
THE JOB
- Observe and comply with all occupational Health and Safety procedures and meet statutory electrical codes.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical installation, wiring, components, and industrial panels equipment and machinery deployed for milling and packaging in Flour Operations, to the correct specifications and standards.
- Carry out machine inspection tasks and update all necessary reports.
- Attend to all reported faults promptly to find solutions to reduce production downtime.
- Carry out planned maintenance according to schedule.
- Ensure that all completed repairs and planned maintenance jobs are signed off, and job cards submitted to the Planning Manager.
- Record and monitor electrical device readings for review and evaluation.
- Carry out housekeeping functions to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.
THE PERSON MUST
- Have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of electrical circuits, wiring, and electrical systems.
- Ability to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, circuits, and systems.
- Knowledge of electrical testing and troubleshooting techniques, including use of multimeters and other testing equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 O’ level credits including Mathematics & English in not more than 2 sittings.
- Technical certification would be an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years automobile experience.
