PURPOSE

To Responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, equipment and components in a variety of settings. The role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, with adherence to safety protocol towards ensuring efficient and reliable electrical operations.

THE JOB

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, control panels, and electrical equipment.
• Ensure that all planned preventive repairs activities are carefully and thoroughly carried out to prevent avoidable breakdowns.
• Diagnose electrical malfunctions and implement repairs.
• Work closely with engineers and other technicians to complete projects efficiently.
• Replace and upgrade electrical components as needed to improve performance.
• Follow all safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.

THE PERSON MUST

• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Have demonstrated analytical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory and systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and hand/power tools.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 O’ level credits including Mathematics & English in not more than 2 sittings.
• Technical certification would be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 2 years’ cognate experience in a relevance field.
