PURPOSE
To Oversee and manage dispatch operations to ensure timely
and accurate delivery of goods. Coordinate logistics, optimize processes, and
maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards while improving
efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
THE JOB
- Supervise
and coordinate daily dispatch operations to ensure on-time delivery.
- Monitor
vehicle movements and optimize routing for efficiency.
- Ensure
compliance with transportation regulations, safety protocols, and company
policies.
- Manage
dispatch personnel, providing training and performance evaluation.
- Collaborate
with warehouse, logistics, and supply chain teams to streamline dispatch
activities.
- Analyze
dispatch data and generate reports for performance improvement.
- Resolve
delivery issues, delays, and customer complaints promptly.
Maintain accurate records of dispatch transactions, vehicle
logs, and fuel usage.
THE
PERSON MUST
- Have
excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be
able to plan and optimize delivery routes for efficiency.
- Be
tech-savvy, with experience using dispatch or fleet management software and GPS
systems.
- Be
highly organized and capable of managing multiple dispatch activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- B.Sc.
or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a
related field.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum
of 5 years’ experience in in dispatch/logistics management.
