PURPOSE
To Coordinate and oversee loading and dispatch activities to
ensure timely and efficient operations while adhering to standard processes and
procedures. Optimize delivery planning to prevent customer stock outs and
maintain smooth logistics operations.
THE JOB
- Coordinate
loading and dispatch activities in line with standard processes and procedures.
- Monitor
customer schedules and proactively plan deliveries to prevent stock outs.
- Supervise
and manage the dispatch team to prevent zero-value transactions.
- Engage
registered transporters for truck allocation and optimize fleet usage.
- Minimize
internal and external demurrage for dedicated trucks through efficient
scheduling.
- Prepare
and submit daily delivery load out reports for tracking and analysis.
- Notify
corporate and dealer customers, as well as the sales team, about deliveries.
- Ensure
strict compliance with safety rules and regulations in all dispatch activities.
- Evaluate
dispatch performance metrics and implement continuous improvement strategies.

- Have
strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be
safety-conscious and ensure strict adherence to safety regulations.
- Have
leadership skills with experience supervising or coordinating a dispatch or
logistics team.
- Be
detail-oriented, with the ability to track and report dispatch performance
accurately.
QUALIFICATIONS
- B.Sc.
or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a
related field
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum
of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
