PURPOSE
Responsible for supporting the financial operations at
Bauchi-Fertilizer blending site through effective financial control, accurate
inventory tracking, cost monitoring, and timely financial reporting. Providing
financial insights and analysis to aid decision-making across production,
customer service, and despatch operations.
THE JOB
- Provide
financial support to site operations, including weekly checks on inventory
re-order levels and timely reporting to the Head Office Finance Team.
- Monitor
raw material discharge processes and raise transporter liabilities for any
short deliveries.
- Perform
weekly reconciliation of site cash and inventory ledger to sub-ledger; report
any variances promptly.
- Prepare
and submit daily site operations reports with relevant financial and
operational data.
- Regularly
reconcile physical inventory against D-365 system balances and provide detailed
commentary on any discrepancies.
- Maintain
100% tracking and reporting of any operational or financial leakages.
- Drive
cost savings initiatives aimed at achieving a minimum of 5% reduction in both
direct and indirect costs on a year-on-year basis.
- Prepare
and submit the site income statement by Workday 2 following monthly account
closure.
THE
PERSON MUST
- Have
strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have
strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Be
proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft
Dynamics 365).
- Be
proactive and goal-oriented, with a drive for continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
- B.Sc.
or HND in Accounting or related discipline
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum
of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
